THE STORY OF LUCY
.
BY HATTER
.
Who are you ?
My name is Lucy
Why are you here ?
To say thank you
For what ?
For saving my life
I was called names at school
Names that didn’t belong to me
Names that burned
Names that hurt
Branded names
I had it with names
I wrapped myself in a warm brown blanket
Looked at myself in the mirror
Felt so calm
My brown blanket
Soaked to burn
Me and my names
To go up in flames
They
Burned me
When mum called
I opened the door
I replied … I’m ok
See you later
Then my sister called
Called me names
The ones that burn
I fell to the floor
Wrapped in my brown blanket
Crying out why
My sister just laughed
Why not ?
Then you appeared
Above my head
Said lets talk
So we sat and talked
And talked and talked
Inside my room
Which was my tomb
You listened
We both had tears
Streaming down our cheeks
You said you were called all those names
Those names they called me
The ones that burn
You said to have no fear
Lifted me up
Made me smile
Names are not me
Made me realise
I have one name
I am the light
That does not burn
And I keep it always in my heart
Lucy is my name
And my hearts aflame

My heart has been a torrent all my life. Fiercely loving those I loved. Now I feel myself loving those I couldn’t love before. I feel the barriers falling, the the trivial,matrix-made, conflict-generating differences dissolving.
LET THE RIVER FLOW!

Yes indeed, the names we’ve been called, the ridicuile we’re endured, especially from our suppossed families…..all over now….. Our Hearts Are Aflame !!
