@ Peacepat i remember it well ,It reached No1 in the aus charts, my mum bought the K-Tel hot summer hits of 69/70 (what a year), 2525 was on it and” I’m an apeman” by the kinks,the penny arcade , Do you remember” build me up buttercup” lol i sort of learned to play the drums that year? but i do remember being very aware that the lyrics in the song were probably right and real and hopefully i would be long dead lol, good info on what year is it really , sorry about the vid peacepat i was pretty hungover and just really pissed about the heat its been unrelenting +40c, melting away dear friend

I feel your grief. We had the hottest summer on record last year. Everything was drinking from my feral cat colony water dishes. Tortoises, birds and insects. The cats were panting when they came to feed. I had to use an umbrella for shade while walking and I’m a native here! Now, please~ Act don’t react. There are ways to call the rain although I had a very hard time using my way last year. There just wasn’t much moisture around to gather up. I found information in bits and pieces through books I’ve read. Nothing much online for actual instruction. One Native American book told how the writer was made to walk out into the desert for an hour with a shaman, they got to some rocks in a circle, turned around and walked back. Author was confused, ha! The point was to think about rain in all its glory during the walk not the hot dry desert. It rained when they got back! Another source told about using herbs of the 4 directions, for here I’ve chosen native plants. The basics are Earth/Sage/thunder, Air/Mint/wind, Fire/Juniper/lightening, and Water/Willow/rain. Dried herbs are best but fresh also work. Crush with your hands in amounts you wish to call forth. Focus on everything about rain, carry it out into an area like a garden or a water source, yes, the ocean would work, much rain falls on the ocean never reaching the land so call it to you. Toss the herbs up and let them fall like rain. Then say Thank You and walk away knowing that you have made contact and rain will come as soon as possible. Here there is much humidity but not always the rain we need anymore. cont’d..

“The Bullroarer is used by the men only and has been an instrument for calling rain.” This could help your plea. Wiki says it has been called the “sound of the Rainbow Serpent.”

@peacepat, well my dear friend your well intending thoughts have made a great change, woke to rain! pissing down,hasn’t rained like this for months lol, you probably know most heat records here were broken, as was the states also last year, we haven’t had the fires(so far) and its been so hot that its like the surf has no interest, i can’t remember a worst year for waves, have surfed only three times this summer, speaking of the rainbow serpent ,my koori surf brothers say that ,the world is waking up the rainbow serpent and he is not happy with wots gone with his creation that the turtle gave permission for people to ride on her back as long as they cared for her and creation, gone will be those who cannot understand the language of the rainbow serpent and have not cared to learn, so thank-you thank-you dear peacepat ;its so wonderful to listen to the rain and watch the trees start to straighten from the stress they have been under, i had a sanyo pocket radio,it went everywhere with me so i wouldn’t miss a tinny hit (all along the watch tower J,H) never sounded as good as it did on hot day at the beach screaming through that sanyo pocket radio lol, i love dire straits (mainly their early stuff) XXX hit those skins
