Regarding wild honey bees…We just noticed how many there were in our yard yesterday afternoon (and today). Years ago a bee keeper parked his extra boxes here and we had many then. I have not seen this many honey bees in about 5 years. The bee keeper took his stock out about 10 yrs ago. We have had the native bumblebees working here instead. Good to see them and realize they are part of something much bigger.

Flies are also pollinators – who knew? They are the only ones who will even get close to a Paw Paw patch.
